The MCS Solar Association
Following the advent of the new Feed-in Tariff's (April 2010) and the requirement of Microgeneration Certification, MCSSA has been formed to offer our members independent advice and information on all aspects of Solar Photovoltaics with particular regard to the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS), Feed-in Tariff Arrangements and generally to assist and inform consumers and installers, so to minimise their installed system costs while maximising income.
Why become a member of mcssa ?
The Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS), has led to a temporary general increase in the cost of Solar Photovoltaic Installations.
This temporary increase results from the immediate imposition of the MCS Accreditation requirement, the cost of said accreditation and the sudden effective reduction of approved equipment and installers. Linked to that the sudden increase in interest in Photovoltaics, due to easing of planning requirements and the very attractive feed in tariff's, mean that demand is presently far outstripping supply.
MCSSA offers a portal to consumers and installers allowing access to the lowest priced MCS Accredited Equipment, MCS Accreditation and Accredited Installers.
Membership starts from only £ 10 per annum for private individuals and £50 per annum for small businesses/traders.
With International Manufacturer prices starting at only 1.85 USD / Watt for MCS Certificated Monocrystalline PV Panels and 1 USD / Watt for G83 Grid Tie Inverters and yet UK retail prices being more than double that, we offer both consumers and installers in depth pricing information regarding most MCS Certificated Panels and G83 Inverters.
Additionally, through our trading partner MCS Solar (TM), we offer both consumers and installers the opportunity to purchase equipment at the lowest possible prices and offer the confidence to consumers and installers alike of highly competitive MCS approved systems, leading individuals and professionals through the whole process of system installation, accreditation, application and approval for the highly attractive feed-in tariff's.
